Haha, just kidding. We had no schedule whatsoever. There are 2 things that I did follow since day 1 however, and I swear they made my days so much easier and predictable this time around. One, I woke C up at about the same time every day – we sort of had to do this because #toddler, but it was also intentional. This is the first step to a routine/schedule and it felt nice to start each day the same way. Babies love predictability! Two, I followed an E.A.S.Y. Routine from the Baby Whisperer book right off the bat (you can learn all about this here). Basically, baby Eats, then does Activity (at this age that was pretty much just a diaper change or tummy time), then Sleeps, and then you have time for Yourself. I didn’t pay attention or care about when these things happened, just as long as they took place in this order. By doing this, if C cried or started to get fussy, it was a lot easier for me to figure out why because I just had to think about where we were in that routine. This also prevented me from having him get used to nursing to sleep (not that there is anything wrong with that, I just personally do not love breastfeeding and want baby to get used to other ways of falling asleep).
